Mike Cooke is the new lead officer for pay and reward at the Public Sector People Managers' Association (PPMA).

Cooke, who is HR director at the London Borough of Camden, replaces Jim Savege, HR director at Cumbria County Council, in this voluntary position at the Public Sector People Managers' Association. Cooke said: "One of the PPMA's big challenges on pay and reward for the next 12 months is to keep reminding the sector that the tough times ahead demand action on pay reform.

The other challenge is to help guide the way for what this might actually mean in practice."
