Travelodge creates 250 jobs and focuses on long-term unemployed

Travelodge is set to open 12 new hotels across the UK, creating 250 new jobs.

 

The budget hotel chain will be working with Job Centre Plus to fill the entry level positions with roles directed at long term unemployed people.

The planned new hotels in Bristol, Poole, Stockport, Maidenhead, Camberley, Chichester, Brombrough, Chesham, Norwich, Colwyn Bay, Morecambe and Newton Abbott are part of the firms £70 million investment programme.

This is really exciting following the news yesterday that 1000 under 25s are being made redundant every day. I look forward to understanding more about how Travelodge will build commitment to customer service levels - interesting when linked with thinking on the article about employee engagement.
