Mike Conway has been appointed group human resources director at Standard Life.
Conway will leave his current position as vice president of resourcing and development in HR at Shell - where he has been since 2005.
Conway has held a variety of HR roles including general manager of HR for BP's operation in Japan and director of HR for BP Alaska. He joined Shell in 2001, originally as HR vice president for Europe based in Aberdeen, before moving to The Hague. He starts his new role in November and will sit on the Standard Life Group Executive Committee, reporting to group chief executive Sandy Crombie.
